Baker Residential Receives 3 MAME Awards—The “Oscars” of Homebuilding

Baker Residential MAME Awards

April 8, 2019

It’s awards season. The Academy Awards have already been handed out, along with the Grammys and Golden Globes. But here in Raleigh, NC, the red carpet wasn’t rolled up until the end of March. The prestigious MAMEs were presented last week with the glitz and glamor of a top-notch awards ceremony. We’re pleased to tell you that Baker Residential received 3 MAME Awards, the “Oscars” of homebuilding.

MAME Awards—Major Achievements in Marketing and Excellence—are presented annually to builders who demonstrate stellar performances in their craft. The Triangle Sales & Marketing Council (TSMC) of the North Carolina Homebuilders Associations of Raleigh/Wake Counties and Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties presented its 2019 honors on March 28, 2019. From logo and signage to model merchandising and product design, the awards span 40 categories.

Baker Residential received the 2019 MAME Award for three achievements, including two for our model home at Providence at Yates Pond in Cary, NC. In the category of Detached Home with a Sales Price of $1,000,000+, our Ashland model earned both Best Model Merchandising and Best Product Design. This 5,493-square-foot home at 2009 Vandiver Way had already won the gold medal in last fall’s Triangle Parade of Homes, chosen the best of 200 new homes in that event.

Our estate community of Providence at Yates Pond is growing, a combination of the highly desirable Cary location and the craftsmanship that Baker Residential infuses into the design, construction, and every last detail of each luxury home. The community’s showcase home reflects a significant expansion of the Ashland floor plan, which is sized at 4,276 square feet. While the original design incorporates 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, our model presents 5 bedrooms and 5.5 baths. Our architect added a wine room, a unique feature that has prompted many homebuyers to rethink their priorities.

This Baker Residential executive home shows off an array of eye-catching details that clearly impressed the judges in both the MAME Awards and Triangle Parade of Homes. The study was customized with two-toned coffered ceiling, wainscoting on the walls, and fireplace with a custom surround, defining the space with warmth and elegance. The kitchen’s two islands are also a stand-out, particularly with the waterfall quartz countertops.

The luxuries of the master suite continue our upscale thinking. The freestanding bathtub surrounded in its own nook sparked more “ah” moments, along with the private balcony.

The outside living space of this award-winner feels like stepping outside your Tuscan villa. Brick archways, nano sliding doors, natural stone surfaces, and a kitchen with everything from a gas grill to ceramic egg cooker will draw you outside all year long.

Baker Residential was also honored as the 2019 MAME Award winner for Best Website for a Company. We partnered with Builder Designs in Kansas City to create a website that gives our buyers all the information they need to get started on the path to homeownership—but presented in an easy-to-navigate manner.

“We wanted our new website to be informative, educational, and as visually exciting as our homes,” explains Rachel Greene, Baker Residential’s Director of Marketing. “For many homebuyers, the website is their first view of your abilities and potential. We wanted that first impression to be lasting.”

Of course, we appreciate honors coming from people within the homebuilding industry, but the measure of Baker Residential’s success isn’t in trophies and awards. It comes one at a time, with each homeowner’s excitement and satisfaction. When you’re ready for a lifestyle that measures up to your standards, contact us to shape that vision into reality.
