Originally a destination for wellness seekers, Fuquay-Varina was known for its mineral springs, dating back to 1858 when it was discovered on the Fuquay family farm. Although the mineral springs are no longer in use, the area has become the Fuquay Mineral Spring Park, a recreational highlight of the growing town of about 34,000 residents. If you’re in need of cooling waters, the splash pad at Fuquay-Varina’s South Park spans more than 6,000 square feet, along with a playground, walking track, and picnic area.

The Fuquay-Varina Arts Center represents the creative core of the town, providing a blend of performances, exhibits, and classes.
